What You’ll Be Doing:
Microsoft 365 Solutions Engineer
This position requires hands-on experience with engineering solutions to problems within the Microsoft 365 stack supporting Evolent’s Digital Workplace. The primary function will be supporting day-to-day operational functions in support of large-scale enterprise Microsoft 365, Intune, and Entra AD. The Solutions Engineer is accountable for supporting and maintaining Evolent’s large-scale enterprise Microsoft 365 environment. This includes handling support tickets, producing reports, managing integrations, facilitating requirements and design sessions with functional users, end user training, and documenting system configurations.
What you’ll be doing
Assisting in the design, development, implementation, and analysis of solutions leveraging Microsoft 365 tools and capabilities.
Working in Azure Entra ID to manage a large database of users, Enterprise Applications, App registrations, and Conditional Access Policies.
Working in Exchange Online, Teams, Intune, Purview, Defender, and Active Directory.
Troubleshooting problems experienced by Microsoft 365 users and conducting collaborative participation with Microsoft 365 engineers to resolve problems.
Providing technical assistance on routine and emergency maintenance matters.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to various Microsoft 365 policies.
Analyze business processes identifying areas of redundancy, potential for automation, consolidation, and process conflicts.
Staying up to date on the latest trends and best practices in Microsoft 365 to provide recommendations for improvement and innovation.
What you’ll need to be successful
Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field, or equivalent experience.
2-4 years of Microsoft 365 experience, preferably in a hybrid environment.
IT engineering understanding, such as operating systems, M365 products, servers, virtualization, Active Directory, and general cloud understanding.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools and capabilities, and willingness to learn new skills and technologies.
Ability to work on a global team across numerous time zones.
Outstanding communication skills using all channels: Email, Teams, and Video Calls.
Ability to build trust and form effective relationships with team members and business stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Nice to have
Certification in Microsoft 365 or Azure.
PowerShell or Bash experience.
Experience with Jira.
Mandatory Requirements:
We require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 Mbps, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. These at-home technical requirements are subject to change with any scheduled re-opening of our office locations.
